An extremely pretty gentleman’s launch in great condition with an unusual clerestory roof, toilet compartment and galley, built of mahogany on oak in 1932 by Taylor Bates of Chertsey where she was named Kelpiette. She was restored initially by Peter Freebody with the internal fit out and propulsion being added by Classic Boatworks in 2006. Since the refit she has overwintered with Classic Boatworks under cover and been returned for a couple of months boating in pristine condition to her owners on the Dee. They occasionally brought the boat to the Traditional Boat Rally and to Henley Royal Regatta.
The electric plant consists of a 5 kw motor and batteries with onboard generator and charger. New batteries installed in late summer 2017.
Now at our Beale Park Boat Store for easy viewing ashore.
